Voting

Voting in national, state and/or local elections occurs at the Middleburg precinct. As of November 2023, the voting location has been moved back to the new Town Hall building at 10 W. Marshall Street, which will be accessed off of N. Pendleton Street until Phase 2 of the Town Hall is complete.

To register to vote or for information on voting, contact the Loudoun County General Registrar.  Contact and general information can be found by visiting Loudoun County’s website.  

Regulations Regarding Pets

Leash Law

Middleburg residents love their pets, but they may not love yours. All dogs are required to be on leashes while in public. 

Clean Up After Your Pet

Please be courteous of your friends and neighbors by cleaning up after your dog when he is out in public.  The Town provides doggie bags at several locations around town: 

  • Pink Box/Visitors Center
  • Washington Street (in front of Atlantic Union Bank)
  • Maple/Blue Ridge (behind Fire Department)
  • East Marshall Street/Chinn Lane
  • Alley behind the Best Thai Kitchen

Water and Sewer Rates for July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024

Water: $19.28 per 1,000 gallons (minimum of 2,000 gallons billed every 2 months)
Sewer: $19.86 per 1,000 gallons (minimum of 2,000 gallons billed every 2 months)

Minimum bi-monthly bill is $78.28.

Local Education Institutions

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS)

The Loudoun County Public School System serves more than 83,000 students in 98 facilities. They currently operate 18 high schools, 17 middle schools, 61 elementary schools and 2 special purpose schools. LCPS is the third largest school division in Virginia. Local students are assigned to Banneker Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle, and Loudoun Valley High Schools.

Middleburg Community Charter School

The Middleburg Community Charter School serves grades K-5 and utilizes a Leonardo da Vinci-inspired curriculum, inspiring scholars to become confident, caring problem solvers aware of their connection to their family, community, country and the world. Students living in Middleburg receive priority admission to MCCS.

Private Schools

The Hill School - Grades K through 8 - The goal of a Hill School education is to build character, self-confidence, and scholarship through academic and co-curricular excellence, individualized attention, and a strong sense of community.

Foxcroft School - A girls' school for grades 9 through 12 - Foxcroft School's mission is to help every girl explore her unique voice and to develop the skills, confidence, and courage to share it with the world.
