The performance is free and will begin at 2:00 pm in the Engelhard Gymnasium, located in the Foxcroft Athletic/Student Center at Foxcroft School, 22407 Foxhound Lane, Middleburg, VA. The pageant is a tradition that began with Foxcroft founder Charlotte Haxall Noland soon after she established the School in 1914. Come Celebrate a Musical Celtic Christmas! “At The Parish House” on December 15th For decades a talented band of Celtic musicians has played to sold-out audiences in Virginia with brilliant renditions of Irish and Scottish songs and tunes. Lovingly nick-named “The Dwarves” (for historical reasons too complicated to explain here), the band will perform a Christmas concert at Emmanuel Church’s “At The Parish House” event on December 15. Returning with the band will be Mei-Li Beane whose voice and violin enthralled the audience at last December’s Parish House Christmas concert. The performance is at Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s Parish House, 105 East Washington St. in Middleburg. Reservations are recommended, but not required (540-687-6297). A donation of $10 is suggested, but not required. Refreshments served, and all are welcome!

2019 MCCS Challenge Grant CampaignThrough the generosity of an anonymous donor, MCCS has the opportunity to match funds raised up to $200,000 by the end of 2019. Due to our charter distinction, we have expenses and academic goals that exceed funds allotted by Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). As a proud community charter school, MCCS is seeking financial support in the form of monetary donations from our community, friends, and family to help us realize this dollar-for-dollar matching opportunity. It is because of this generous community that our school has stayed open, offering a quality, elementary education since the 1880s. Find out more information at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/mccs2019 [The Town of Middleburg does not endorse any specific fundraising effort but is passing this along to the community for awareness and consideration.]

CALL FOR ARTISTS 2020 Western Loudoun Art and Studio Tour (June 5, 6 & 7, 2020, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10:00am - 5:00pm!) Visual artists can apply online now for the 15th annual Western Loudoun Art and Studio Tour. Deadline for submission is close of business, February 1, 2020
All applications must be submitted online through the CaFE online system. The process consists of two steps:
- Create a free artist profile in CaFE and upload images for work to be submitted to the jury here: www.callforentry.org
- Search within CaFE for Western Loudoun Art and Studio Tour (WLAST) and apply.
Loudoun artists working in all visual media may apply to this juried event. Those selected will open their studios to the public and demonstrate their artistic process to visitors from the metropolitan region. Last year’s tour brought more than a thousand visitors into more than 30 studios and arts centers. Artists connected with a targeted audience, increasing their visibility and providing an opportunity to promote and share their work.
Frequently asked questions and answers about participating on the tour can be found here: http://www.wlast.org/artists/artist-faqs.htm
