Over the years, the program has grown and is now available in all 50 states and U.S. territories. The U.S. Department of Energy grants funding to DHCD, which then contracts with local agencies to deliver weatherization services to eligible residents in every part of the commonwealth. The Weatherization Assistance Program qualification is income-based and gives priority to the elderly, people with disabilities and families with children.
