Governor Northam Announces New Mitigation Measures to Slow COVID-19 Spread On Thursday, December 10th, Governor Ralph Northam announced new, targeted measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 as new cases and hospitalizations continue to rise in all areas of the Commonwealth. Executive Order Seventy-Two directs Virginians to stay at home between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., implements a universal mask requirement, and lowers the limit on social gatherings from 25 people to 10 people. The order will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, December 14th, and remain in place through January 31, 2021, unless rescinded or amended.

Christmas Tree CollectionThe Town's Refuse and Recycling contractor, American Disposal Services, will pick up natural Christmas Trees following the holiday and throughout the month of January. Christmas Trees should be placed alongside the trash can on the normal collection day of Wednesday. Please do not place trees in plastic bags and ensure all tinsel, lights, and decorations have been removed.

A Place To Be: Hope for ChristmasJoin A Place To Be virtually on Sunday, December 20th, at 7PM for their newest musical, "Hope for Christmas." This musical features 23 of their clients sharing a message of joy and hope this holiday season.

Recycling: Used Batteries and RazorsUsed Razors and Razor Blades The Town of Middleburg has teamed up with Terracycle to accept used razors and razor blades. With this program, the plastic components are recycled and the metals are melted down and recycled. The recycle bin is located in the Town Office and drop-offs are accepted during office business hours. - Town Office - 10 W. Marshall St.
Used Household Batteries The Town of Middleburg has also placed "big green boxes" at 5 locations around town to collect used, household batteries during business hours.
