The Town of Middleburg expresses its sincere appreciation to Bill Turnure for his dedication and support of our community through his service on the Historic District Review Committee from July 1990 through October 2020, during which he served as the Chairman for most of his tenure. We wish Bill and Liz the best of luck in their retirement! Mayor Littleton presented Bill Turnure with a painting by Deb Cadenas of Chinn’s Crossing on Washington Street during the November 12th Council meeting.

Residential Holiday Decorating Contests


The Town of Middleburg will host Residential Holiday Decorating Contests for Town of Middleburg Residents. The contests will include four categories:

  • Best Traditional Decorations
  • Best Front Porch/Porch Decorations
  • Best Light Display
  • Judges Choice
Register with the Town Office by November 30th to participate!

COVID-19: Free Drive-Thru Testing

COVID-19: Free Drive-Thru Testing


Loudoun County is hosting FREE drive-thru COVID-19 testing on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Tuscarora High School and Simpson Middle School. The locations will be open from 1:00PM - 4:00PM.

The Loudoun Chamber Foundation 2021 Grant Application is open! Since 2015, the Loudoun Chamber Foundation awarded $116,000 in grants to 35 local nonprofit organizations. All Chamber nonprofit members are eligible to apply for this grant. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on November 23, 2020.

Rebuild VA: Governor Northam Announces Expansion of Grant Fund for Small Businesses


Governor Ralph Northam announced that Rebuild VA, a grant program to help small businesses and nonprofit organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, will expand eligibility criteria and increase the amount of grant money businesses receive. Businesses can receive up to $100,000.

Loudoun County Cold Weather Shelter: Opens November 15th


The Loudoun County Cold Weather Shelter will open beginning Sunday, November 15, 2020, for adults in the community who are experiencing a housing crisis resulting in homelessness. The shelter, which provides a warm indoor sleeping environment, meals and shower facilities, will be open 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., seven nights a week through March 31, 2021.

Recycling: Used Batteries and Razors


Used Razors and Razor Blades
The Town of Middleburg has teamed up with Terracycle to accept used razors and razor blades. With this program, the plastic components are recycled and the metals are melted down and recycled. The recycle bin is located in the Town Office and drop-offs are accepted during office business hours.

Used Household Batteries
The Town of Middleburg has also placed "big green boxes" at 5 locations around town to collect used, household batteries during business hours.

  • Emmanuel Episcopal Church - 104 E. Federal St.
  • Second Chapter Books - 13 E. Washington St.
  • Middleburg Millwork - 106 S. Madison St.
  • Town Office - 10 W. Marshall St.
