[ARCHIVED] Blasting Activities - Residences at Salamander

The Town of Middleburg has been informed that the construction company for the Residences at Salamander will be conducting additional blasting the week of June 13th. Generally, this will occur in the areas behind Stonewall Avenue, although no specific locations have been shared with the Town at this time. The Town will keep the community informed as more information becomes available.

Prior to any blasting, the contractor is required to sound a pre-blast signal (may sound like a siren). Then the blast will occur, and there will be a post-blast signal indicating the explosives detonated properly.

The Loudoun County Fire Marshal regulates all blasting in the County, including in the corporate Town limits, and all of the blasting as part of this project has been properly permitted. If you have questions, concerns, or complaints, please contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at 703-777-0637 or at on the “Blasting/Explosives” tab).

If you have any emergencies related to the blasting, please call 911.
