Middleburg Sustainability Committee

Overview

The Middleburg Sustainability  Committee (formerly Go Green)  is an advisory body to the Town Council on environmental and sustainable issues. Their goal is to increase community awareness about environmental issues, such as the value of recycling, the importance of preserving water quality and the methods for conserving energy. In addition to its education function, The Middleburg Sustainability Committee develops recommendations for environmental and sustainable action plans.

Meetings

The Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the Town Office.

Members

The Town of Middleburg would like to recognize the members for their service on the Middleburg Sustainability Committee.

REUSABLE TOTE BAG DISTRIBUTION

Reusable Tote Bag
The Middleburg Sustainability Committee is providing two (2) reusable tote bags to every in-town household to provide an alternative to paying the new store-provided, single-use plastic bag tax (5 cents per bag) that takes effect July 1, 2022.   Residents are encouraged to take the bags to Safeway when they shop.  For more information on their distribution.
